OpenRiskNet case studies enter final, test phase

OpenRiskNet’s work on case studies is entering the final phase with the focus on demonstrating infrastructure capabilities and on testing different risk assessment scenarios. The case studies provide examples and prototypes for solutions provided to the predictive toxicology and risk assessment community and demonstrate usage of the developed APIs and the interoperability features to build integrated workflows.

OpenRiskNet e-infrastructure listed to EOSC and eInfraCentral catalogues

OpenRiskNet e-infrastructure is listed as a service under the catalogues of European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) and European E-Infrastructure Services Gateway (eInfraCentral).

The entries can be consulted here: EOSC and eInfraCentral.

Additional services, part of OpenRiskNet e-infrastructure, will be also listed.

Ontology meeting by OpenRiskNet and NanoCommons

OpenRiskNet and NanoCommons are organizing a joint ontology hackathon on 13-14 Dec 2018 (Brussels, Belgium).

The goal of this meeting is to get a picture of the ongoing ontology activities in the toxicology area, harmonize these efforts and the developed ontologies therein, and extend the existing toxicology ontology to support OpenRiskNet and NanoCommons tasks. Part of this will be the ontological annotation of OpenRiskNet Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) as used on their cloud.

General assembly and consortium meeting 2018

The next annual meeting of the OpenRiskNet Consortium will be held in Brussels from 12 to 14 December 2018. The progress on project tasks and case studies will be presented and demonstrated by the project members. The event will include also an ontology meeting.

A new OpenRiskNet introduction session to stakeholders

Following the successful introduction and demo sessions organised in September and beginning of October, OpenRiskNet consortium is organising a new session on 30 October 2018, at 4 pm CEST. During the 1-hour demonstration session you'll get a general and technical introduction to OpenRiskNet e-infrastructure and the case studies. The log-in information were submitted to the registrants by email. However, if you did not get them or you still want to register please contact us at openrisknet@douglasconnect.com before the start of the session.

Major updates to the OpenRiskNet website

The OpenRiskNet website was first released in June 2017, to enable presentation of project work to its stakeholders (end-users and developers), the scientific community and to the general public. The website contains information on project objectives and partners, detailed information on the Associate Partner Programme and a list of dissemination activities (events, publications and other resources). On the technical development side, the website provides information on case studies and associated use cases.

On 19 October 2018, a new version of the website was released including major changes on its structure and the information provided. The new features of the websites (e.g. catalogue of services, resources & training, list of events, etc.) released recently aim to support even more all project stakeholders in browsing and accessing the information on the available services and resources addressed to users.
